Summary

This week culminated with clear product definitions and progress made towards the final platform schematic. Several core components of the platform entered testing.

This week, Our engineers have completed the liquidity pool “top-up” function and completed testing of the reserve pools used for instant withdrawals, while still allowing batched transactions. We’ve also added calculations for maintaining a constant percentage of capital in the reserve pool. This is to help keep our withdrawals easy, quick, and low gas cost.

Further, we’ve begun setting up automation to test our custom Chainlink external adapter. The adapter, created by Chainlink specifically for our usage, allows us to pull system TVLs in a scalable and secure way. Our test automation will give us confidence in the reliability of this mission-critical component.

Finally, it is critical to decentralize the governance of capital deployment to achieve our goal of democratized yield. Our first step in this direction has been the development of our DeFi Legos toolset. We’ve recently extended our toolset with features that enable a non-coder to create human-readable config files that are translated into code and executed on-chain to deploy capital from the APY liquidity pool. This will initially be used centrally by the team to manage the APY strategies, but will also form the backbone on which we will decentralize governance.

This week, our engineers completed the development of liquidity mining components for the updated rewards page and started working on the updates for staking. The development resulted in updated styles and simpler, more testable components. While the team is focused on making the rewards page much more intuitive, they are also responding to community requests for features, such as a feature that makes it possible to clearly view all of your APY rewards at a glance.

Further, additional refactoring was completed on front-end transaction flows that include the TrxModal and related hooks and contexts, with the objective to significantly improve front-end performance.

We’ve also made a custom patch for Dapateer, which allows us to run additional integration tests and test the front-end across various devices. We’ve continued to refresh dynamic visual styling, and how it affects each hardware device. This includes sliders, buttons, forms, and more front-end visual elements that will improve the UI across various devices. We noticed many users access our dashboard on mobile devices, so we’ve been taking special care to ensure our new UI will be easy and intuitive for those users.

Finally, our front-end has completed a rewards page styling refresh for desktop and mobile with a more emphasis on simplified and easily legible labels, forms, and media queries. Here’s a quick look at the new and improved rewards page:
