Happily Ever After?

Once upon a time in Mumbai, lived a family of fouršŸ‘©ā€šŸ‘©ā€šŸ‘§ā€šŸ‘§ who were a little normally abnormal for the world, people would look at them weirdly or would rarely speak to them, yet the family was happy with themselves. So, what was so special about them?

The family consisted of Two Mothers and Two Daughters. Society was a very difficult place to live for them, they were always judged for the way they were. Yet they were happy in their own world as they believed that love would suffice everything.

A woman was standing near the window sipping her morning tea and thinking of how her life had changed over the course of the last 1 year when she heard laughter from the other room and Asha couldnā€™t stop herself from smiling at the people in the room. As a family, they had come a long way and she was grateful for her family for standing by her in every thick and thin.

Asha had a very normal childhood, but as she grew older she realized that she was nothing like a normal girl, when at her age girls had crushes on boys she had crushes on girls, at first she ignored it. But the constant feeling of being different from others made her feeling drained.

Asha had once told her family about the confusions she had regarding her sexuality and they had given her a chance to explore it and she was glad that she had such a loving family.

Asha explored herself more and realised that she was indeed attracted to girls. She was glad that she could talk to her family and explain this to them, but as welcoming as her parents where about this, the society was not. She and her family were bycotted by the society as some untouchables.

Asha and her family shifted abroad for better opportunites. She found people who did not judge her for her sexual preference but appreciated her for the way she conducted herself. Her parents did feel bad for her as she couldnā€™t find any life partner for herself. But she was happy in her own little world until she found Stephany, she was all what Asha did imagine her life partner would be ā€” loving and caring.

As she and Stephany spent more time with eachother they realised that they were falling in love. Both decided to officially inform their parents about their relationship and take the next step.

Asha and Stephany got married and after couple of years they adopted two girl child and lived a happy life.
