Tap Into Your Inner Genius

Intelligence is more than your IQ

I recently saw a story published in USA Today about an African immigrant, Frank Dogbe, who came to the U.S. in 1999 from the nation of Togo. He became a janitor, learned English, got his GED, and then finished college with his Bachelors. Now, 15 years since immigrating here, he owns SOS Building Services, a maintenance company in Minneapolis, MS, where he hires new immigrants and helps them take the educational route that he did in order to improve their lives and thrive in America.

Though his employees are largely immigrants that must work in order to provide for their families, he helps them in learning English, gaining citizenship, and more importantly motivates them to attend college during the morning hours so they can work during the night. Frank Dogbe fully believes in the capability of his employees, and expects nothing less than unmoving motivation from them to prosper. If a single man could change their perspective, and make them believe that education is not to be feared, but sought after, then so can we change our own perspective on what it means to be intelligent, what it means to learn, and how can we do it successfully, all the while reaching our true potential for genius.
