Write

Write. Write till you have written about your failures and successes and everything in between. Write about your broken heart and the one that got away. Write about the flowers in your balcony that won’t bloom and you don’t know why. Write about the gates at your heart and the walls surrounding it. Write about the books that kept you up all night, about the poems that made you cry, about the songs that deepened your ache before it repaired the cracks in your heart.

Write about the friends who didn’t handle you with care and the ones that sneaked you out of your house at 2 in the night. Write about the hills that made you gawk like a lovestruck madman and the colourful houses that fit perfectly in its crevices. Write about the dreams that you’ve never spoken about because you’re scared nobody would understand.

Write till the pen in your hand has made its impression deep into your skin. Write about everything that chipped off parts of you. Write till the ink flows as smooth on the paper as the blood in your veins. Write till the words cramped inside you come out tumbling, finally finding an escape. Write till you have emptied every last bit of yourself, your emotions, your heart on the pages. Write till you’re left with nothing but a void. Write till you have mended your heart and soul. And when it’s over, write again, about the stories that are yet to come.
